This remarkable necklace consists of four chunky garlands of red coral, each with its own distinct shape and character, reminiscent of chopped logs.
Coral was originally mistaken as a plant and named “Garden of the sea” but is in fact made up of tiny marine invertebrate known as polyps. They were believed to bring peace and protection to the wearer and exhibit fiery shades of pink, orange and red, making a colourful alternative to other ocean treasures such as pearls.
The strands are held by a fabulous snap lock clasp in the shape of two large rings. It’s fashioned in sterling silver, gilded in yellow gold and pave set with brilliant cut cubic zirconia that twinkle like diamonds.
It’s a distinctive statement piece and displays a spectacular array of coral that is very striking wrapped around the neck.
